To attend the online debate 'Political Representation: How can people with disabilities make their voices heard,' please follow this link.

From 28th to 30th June 2023, the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales (EHESS) will have the pleasure of hosting the 11th annual conference of ALTER, the European Society for Disability Research (http://alter-asso.org), on its site in Auvervilliers (Campus Condorcet), north of Paris.

Supported by the Programme Handicap & Sociétés (http://phs.ehess.fr/), in partnership with the Programme Prioritaire de Recherche (PPR) on autonomy, this new edition of the ALTER conferences proposes to examine the dynamics between various forms of protection and practices aiming at the autonomy and inclusion of people with disabilities in the light of their potential for emancipation or oppression.
